The toolchain (GitBook) is a tool for building beautiful books using Git and Markdown. It can generate your book in many formats: PDF, ePub, mobi or as a website.

It is open source, the source code of the tool is available on GitHub.

Issues and question related to the format and the toolchain should be posted on GitHub

GitBook.com is the online platform (www.gitbook.com) to create and host books built using the GitBook format.
