calicoctl ipam release

Displaying the help text for ‘calicoctl ipam release’ command

Run calicoctl ipam release --help to display the following help menu for the command.

  2. calicoctl ipam release [--ip=<IP>] [--from-report=<REPORT>] [--config=<CONFIG>]
  3. Options:
  4. -h --help Show this screen.
  5. --ip=<IP> IP address to release.
  6. --from-report=<REPORT> Release all leaked addresses from the report.
  7. -c --config=<CONFIG> Path to the file containing connection configuration in
  8. YAML or JSON format.
  9. [default: /etc/calico/calicoctl.cfg]
  10. Description:
  11. The ipam release command releases an IP address from the Calico IP Address
  12. Manager that was been previously assigned to an endpoint. When an IP address
  13. is released, it becomes available for assignment to any endpoint.
  14. Note that this does not remove the IP from any existing endpoints that may be
  15. using it, so only use this command to clean up addresses from endpoints that
  16. were not cleanly removed from Calico.
